Paolo Mellano

Paolo Mellano born on August 24th, 1963; architect from 1988, in 1989 with Flavio Bruna he founded the study of architecture “Bruna & Mellano Architetti Associati”, which has made numerous experiences of design and works management for private and public bodies. They take part in numerous competitions for architects, obtaining awards and reports. They are invited to Exhibitions and Conventions of Architecture. Paolo Mellano has been teaching fellow at Politecnico di Torino since 1995. In 2010 he became full professor in Architectural and Urban Composition at the same University. Since the 2003 he has been Professors’ Representatives in the Presidence Council of the 2nd Faculty of Architecture. From 2007 he is assistant president of the degree course in Architecture (Environment and Landscape) at the 2nd Faculty of Architecture. Since 2007 he has also been assistant director of CESMO, the centre which organises the research and educational activities of Mondovì’s seat of Politecnico di Torino. In 2010 he became Chairman of the Board of the Degree Course in Architecture (Mondovì seat). In 2011 he was elected to the Committee on the statutory amendments, and in 2012 he was elected Director of the Bachelor in Architecture. From 2013 to 2015 he was elected member of the Board of Governors of the Politecnico di Torino. In 2015 he was elected Head of the Department of Architecture and Design, of the Politecnico di Torino; in the same year he was elected member of the Academic Senate of the same University.
